The Makeup Show LA was a great pro-only show featuring some of the hottest brands. Some of my old faves were there … Stila, Crown Brushes and Smashbox Cosmetics… but I was also introduced to some new brands. And of course, it’s always great to hear from celebrity makeup artists like James Vincent (who was in charge of the amazing education from the show, and was hot off of working on Gaga’s “Born This Way” video) and You Tube Gurus like Koren Zander. Enjoy!
And before I go, here is a list of the products I loved from the show:
Inglot: My palette is filled with beautiful hand-picked color from the Inglot glam squad including the coolest black shadow (with red flecks) in it. The magnets are so crazy, incredibly strong that it travelled to Manila with me and everything stayed intact!
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics: In our YouTube video, catch a glimpse of me getting air-brushed by the founder David Klasfeld himself (lucky girl!). I knew this was something I wouldn’t do myself, but thanks to a tip from Ms. Pursebuzz 2.0, I learned you can take a brush to OCC Foundation and get a similar result. YAY! OCC just happens to have a great brush as well.
Z-Pallette: Started by another female entrepreneur, Hollywood MUA Zena Shteysel, this brilliant magnetic pallette is product agnostic and will hold any configuration of brand, size, etc in one handy place. Plus the top is see-through. J’adore.
Red Carpet Kolour: I LOVE this product. It’s a body makeup that will instantly make you glowy and tan. And if you pile it on, you look golden, like a statue. Some people don’t like that – but I do … especially for an event. Denise Richards mentioned it when Andy Cohen said she looked amazing, her color was a combo of sun, spray tan and RCK. All I can say, is it will bling out your skin. Here’s our Vanity Girl TV interview with the RCK Founder, a fellow female entrepreneur and I think she was on QVC. My Dream! Do you hear that QVC? Call me 🙂
