Hi loves – a few days ago things really started to warm up here in West Hollywood just in time for an exclusive rooftop experience of four new luxury scents from Elie Saab, narciso rodriguez, Issey Miyake and Salvatore Ferragamo.
I met Andrea (my luxury fragrance expert and guide) at a cozy back table of Petit Ermitage where she introduced me to these new scents over cocktails and sweeping LA skyline views.
Above: These fragrances are the perfect way to celebrate spring and anticipate summer.
Elie Saab La Parfum Resort Collection: The “veteran” of the bunch, this colorful and juicy fragrance was released to the public in February of 2017. Top Notes: Red Mandarin. Heart: A fruity addiction of orange blossom, jasmine and pomegranate nectar blended with white flower notes. Base: An intense trail of patchouli. Wear this to a film festival or any red carpet event donned in your favorite Elie Saab frock of course. Shop it here.
narciso rodriguez fleur musc: Released in early March ’17, this spicy floral evokes effortless grace. Top Notes: Rose and pink peppercorn. Heart: Addictive musc. Base: Luminous woody notes of patchouli and amber. Wear this on a summer date night when something spicy yet pretty is in order .. perhaps dinner for two at one of the private cabanas at Petit Ermitage? Buy it here.
Issey Miyake L’eau D’issey PURE: I was so excited to experience this fragrance which will be released to the public in May 2017. I’ve been a longtime fan of the classic L’eau D’issey, in fact it was my signature scent for years. I just love the fresh aquatic notes imbued with floral hints. PURE lives up to its predecessor and Issey Miyake says that “the drop has blossomed and transformed itself into a flower.” Top Notes: Mandarin Heart: Neroli, rose and lily of the valley petals. Base: Ambergris Wear this: Everywhere, just like classic Issey.
Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Sole La Commedia: Andrea dropped her voice just a little and leaned in, as if to tell me a secret when this complex fragrance was unveiled. Where all the other fragrances above were decidedly springtime and summer – this one inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy presents to you “an olfactive odyssey suspended between sin and redemption.” Intrigued? I was too. Top Notes: Bitter Orange & Cardamom Middle: Nutmeg & Pimento Base: Gaiac Wood & Vetiver Wear this when you feel like being 50 Shades of Darker.
Above: See you on the other side – indeed. Make a right to the rooftop as you exit the elevator. Petit Ermitage offered the perfect backdrop for an intimate sensory experience like this.
There you have it Vanity Girls … four new lovely new fragrances to usher in spring and summer 2017. Which one(s) are you excited to try?
See you in LA! xx
