Dontcha just love how cute you feel after getting a good blow out? On this particular Saturday afternoon, Glen at Society Salon did his magic after I had been wearing my hear under a baseball hat for a couple of days. I can never quite get it to look that good by myself!
But then I was stuck with the dilemma – my hair looks great — I want to go somewhere! So I was really happy to get a text from Rachel with the suggestion we head over to one of her faves – La Conversation on Doheny for brunch.
I hadn’t been there yet so I was happy to find out for myself why this has been a West Hollywood staple for so many years.

It’s so French! I’m a total Francophile (I even lived in Paris for a few months after a bad breakup but that’s a whole other story) and I love how this casual neighborhood spot brings me back to the Marais. The outdoor seating is everything and even the proximity of tables makes it feel authentic.

The Bakery! I wanted to say hello to the owner who is also a member of the West Hollywood Chamber, and he sent over these lovely cookies which were delicious. I think it’s so charming that they can even arrange a high-tea which sounds like a fun way to hold a bridal or baby shower for a nice option for a girly celebration.

People Watching! Granted, I did not see Hilary Duff today, but according to this IG post – she’s been spotted there along with many other celebrities. The people watching in general is fun at this outdoor spot and they are dog friendly as well. (So important to all the fur baby mommy and daddy’s here in LA).
What about you? What are some of your favorite neighborhood cafes?
